The Message’s urban youth work training course Genetik is partnering with Gospel Rock to put on a nationwide, internationally-televised Gospel talent competition starting in 2010.
The competition seeks to find potential new Christian recording artists with a passion for sharing the Gospel. It is open to all unsigned Christian bands, vocal groups and solo artists. The contestants will perform in front of a live audience, and judging panel and the winner will receive a recording contract with Integrity Music.
Genetik course leader and former Tribe member Tim Owen will form part of the judging panel. He comments,
‘The competition is all about finding and developing the God-given talents of young people, which is something that Genetik aims to do on a daily basis. We are excited to be part of this new initiative.’
Genetik are currently taking applications for September 2010 when they launch their brand new 10 month ‘Gap Year’ course in Creative Ministry and Urban youth work. Click here to find out more.
