You probably already know that Andy Hawthorne and Anthony Delaney returned yesterday from a mercy mission to Haiti, delivering 1000kg of emergency medical supplies to t
he devastated capital Port-au-Prince and the island La Gonave.
An estimated 200,000 people were killed by the quake. Hundreds of thousands more are now in need of the basics of survival: food, water and medical attention.
We know we need to do much more to help them.
So, we’re putting on a special concert for Haiti at Manchester Apollo in a week-and-a-half’s time on February 4. We’ve managed to pull in a special celebrity guest – actor Stephen Baldwin (direct from Celebrity Big Brother) will be joining us. LZ7 and Blush will perform and both Andy and Anthony will share their eye-witness stories from their trip.
This is a massive step of faith for us so we need everyone who supports The Message to pick up the phone and book to come along. Tickets are just £5 and we will be taking up an offering for Haiti on the night, hoping to raise thousands of pounds for the relief effort.
Please also tell everyone you know about this special event.
‘Heart for Haiti’
