The Message Trust is looking for an exceptional individual to give our supporters a great experience whenever they get in touch with us. Could that person be you?
For this role, we are seeking a real ‘people person’ with a contagious customer-service ethos and an easy rapport with supporters and potential supporters.
You will have superlative communication skills, including an excellent telephone manner and good written English. You will have the ability to deal well with all kinds of supporters and are likely to have proven experience working in a customer service environment.
You will complement your customer focus with a natural attention to detail, strong IT skills and experience of business systems, ideally ThankQ. You will cope well with pressure and the demands of juggling multiple priorities at once.
You will also be a positive, proactive team-player motivated by a desire to serve God and others generously.

Job SummaryMain duties and responsibilities:
To assist with all aspects of graphic design and branding of all Message publications.
Liaise with printers, getting quotes and arranging deliveries.
To be a key team member in the development of The Message brand and Message sub-brands (e.g. EDEN, Genetik etc)
To be proactive in working with others in the organisation to plan mailings and print jobs.
To help develop the organisations current and new websites as part of a creative and technical team.
To be a full member of the communications department team and be involved in delivery of all services to the organistation.
Identify potential funding sources and seek contributions to the ministry.
Work with current external clients as well as being proactive in finding new ones for all aspects of design.

Person specification:
EssentialWe use the Adobe Creative Suite; it is essential to have a basic working knowledge of the following: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat. Experience with Quark as an alternative would provide a good base for retraining in InDesign.
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Must have the ability to work in a creative team and input ideas and show creative flair and enthusiasm
The applicant should have excellent layout skills and knowledge of typography. Enthusiasm and willingness to learn on the job to gain valuable experience of the design industry.
Must be able to work to strict deadlines.
