One thing I wish I knew when I started preaching the gospel… my story is powerful!
Growing up in a Christian family I always thought my testimony was a bit boring. I’d never rebelled massively against my parents, I hadn’t really walked away from my faith, I was that good, quiet kid who never really caused any trouble.
So surely no one would care about my story?
But the thing is, every testimony is powerful. Every testimony is a story of God’s transformation in someones life, a story of how God has taken you from death to life.
That means no matter how insignificant you think your story might be. Your testimony carries power because it is physical evidence of God’s grace and power!
That’s something that no one can argue with!
Telling your testimony isn’t trying to win people over for Jesus with persuasive words or convincing arguments. It’s just telling people what God has done in your life, and how he has changed you; something no one can argue with!
As Jesus said to the Demoniac in Mark 5:19, ‘Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.’
Your story is powerful and God can use your story of transformation to transform the lives of the people he places in front of you.
