Eden Gurnell Grove: The purpose of Eden

Published on April 19, 2018

Mark Tate is the team leader of Eden Gurnell Grove (London). He shares how the team are seeing the purpose of Eden happening in the form of their recently launched after school club – ‘Eden Kids’

‘The poor are not a problem to be solved but a people to join’

We love this poignant quote from Eugene Peterson. For us raising up leaders in the community and doing life and ministry together is what Eden is all about. That’s why a recent highlight for our team has been to have two mums from the estate help us run our first out of school club – ‘Eden Kids’. We meet every other Friday for crafts, games, sports and movies. At the launch of the club we had 23 kids and 12 parents who all got really stuck in. We’re so excited to be on this journey and build on this flourishing group of ‘Eden Kids’.

We’d love for you to pray for this new club, that it would thrive and that many more people would come to know Jesus through the work of our team.
