Higher South Wales launches in Swansea and Newport

‘See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland’ – Isaiah 43:19

This verse has been a core verse for The Message since the beginning and during the last week our team in Wales has watched it come to life! Through school lessons, youth groups, Eden bus sessions, church visits, community outreach events and Higher Regional Launches we saw 60 people make the life changing decision to follow Jesus!

On the Friday night we hosted the Swansea Regional Launch, the first event we have hosted in the city. It was a great night as we connected with local churches, were encouraged by our growing network of partners and as Daniel Eduardo from BrightLine proclaimed the gospel, six people responded.

On the Saturday night, God amazed us once again at the Newport Regional Launch. Moving worship from The Worship Effect and musical performances by SoulBox and BrightLine brought the crowd to their feet. Andy Hawthorne brought a passionate presentation of the gospel leading to eight people giving their lives to Jesus. Three of these were young people who our team had e been working with and building friendships with over the past few months on the Eden Bus.

During the week, two mission teams from the Message Academy came ready to serve in Swansea and Newport. Every member of the team helped enormously the Message Wales team and the hundreds of young people they helped us to reach.

At our monthly prayer morning we reflected on the amazing good news stories from the week. The faith in the room was tangible as a new excitement began to grow for what we strongly believe God will do in South Wales this November!

There is still time to join us for the Regional Launches in Cardiff and The Valleys.

Please join guys in Cardiff on 8 June at Freedom Church Cardiff and in the Valleys on 9 June at The Muni Arts Centre in Pontypridd. For more information about the events please email caitlin.woodington@message.org.uk or ring 02920512247.
