Cross Canada Cycle Challenge 2019

In May 2019, Andy Hawthorne and a team of brave cyclists from the UK will embark on a 913km journey, riding across the highs and lows of the Canadian outback, to raise funds for The Message Trust.

The route will take them from the iconic Peyto Lake in Banff National Park to the finish line in Vancouver. Along the way they’ll have to cross the Canadian Rockies which will involve over 30,000ft of uphill cycling!

The aim of the ride is to raise £175,000 to support the work of The Message enabling us to:

  • Set up eight new Eden teams of urban missionaries who choose to live in some of the most deprived communities across the UK
  • Build a new Message Bus – a mobile-youth centre – to travel to deprived neighbourhoods across the UK to provide support and set up new projects
  • Develop prisons work and reintegration of ex-offenders by launching a new enterprise centre outside of Manchester

We’d love your support as the team take on this massive challenge. If you could sponsor the team – no matter how big or small – you’d make the whole journey a little bit easier for them! You can do this at https://mydonate.bt.com/events/crosscanada/478710

As well as giving, please pray for them all as they train and head out to Canada. We’ll keep you updated on how they’re doing here and our social media channels.
