The Message has been rooted in the Midlands through Eden for a number of years. In 2018, we took our missional work to the next level through Higher Midlands 2018, seeing thousands of young people at our gigs and introducing many to Jesus for the first time. In the next few years, we’ll be planting more community-transforming Eden teams, building up our creative schools work and looking at opportunities for Christ-centred enterprise and work in prisons.

Belonging to an Eden team is for people from all walks of life. We talked to three people who decided to be part of an Eden team whilst studying at university. Ellie, Pete and Emily were all living at home, just out of school, and plugged into their local churches before they joined Eden.
Every Eden team is partnered with a church. A loving family to support them and walk with them as they serve the community. Gav Hicks shares on the importance of these partnerships.
In December last year, Eden Walsall (West Midlands) advertised a large Christmas community event to be held in their local church hall but it wasn’t until minutes before the event that the team found out that there had been a problem and none of these amazing activities were able to be there.

The Higher Tour is well and truly on the road – with the Midlands leg completed in February and March 2018.

Thanks to their local housing group, Eden Walsall were able to put on a Christmas party for the families in their community.

Eden Walsall held a workshop for the young people of their community focussed on being clothed in salvation, sharing how God designed them and how he has amazing plans for their future.
