From 10 – 16 October it’s Prisons Week – a week where Christians across the UK unite in prayer for those in prisons and all those who work there.
For over 15 years, Message in Prisons has been going into prisons sharing the good news of Jesus through chapel services, Bible study groups, the4points as well as music classes, peacemaker courses, mentoring and more.
There we build relationships with prisoners and God is moving in prisons. Lives are being transformed forever as people find the hope and love Jesus offers.
This week we’ll be sharing stories of lives transformed by God in prison as well as prayer points.
Sunday 10 October: Pray for those in prison who’re grieving, feeling discouraged, and who’re struggling with their mental health.
Monday 11 October: Pray for all prison staff and chaplains today as they serve those in prison and share the gospel.
Tuesday 12 October: Pray that many prisoners would find their identity and worth in Jesus today and find new hope for the future.
Wednesday 13 October: Pray that those in prison would choose to put their trust and hope in Jesus and live their lives for him.
Thursday 14 October: Pray that God would bring justice and restoration for those in prison today and restore family relationships today.
Friday 15 October: Pray God would give prison workers and those in prison peace and good rest today.
Saturday 16 October: Pray that God would give those in prison new hope and vision for their futures in him.
