Sarah's Story - The Message

Sarah’s Story

When we first met Sarah, depression and anxiety had left her almost housebound. She felt alone and the cost-of-living crisis meant she was struggling to put food on the table. Then a leaflet for the Community Grocery came through her door. Immediately Sarah wanted to come along and not only sign up to be a member but also as a volunteer too. Watch her full story below.

What is the Community Grocery?

Sarah got plugged into community and church as she joined the Community Grocery.

Bridging the gap between foodbanks and supermarkets, Community Groceries are helping keep families fed. Each member gets to access to the affordable food they need for their family, as well as access to free wrap-around support courses such as money management, cooking classes and Alpha. We currently have over 55,000 members across our 21 stores, and the need is not going away. We’ll continue to do all we can to support those who need our help and point people back to Jesus.
