We are The Message: A story driven movement

The Message is all about sharing Jesus’ love in word and action. Whether it’s keeping families fed in a Community Grocery, telling young people about their value in schools, moving teams into inner cities and estates to do life with their neighbours, or training up others to share their faith, we’re doing this in many different ways.

As we step out on mission and people hear about Jesus’ love for them, lives are being turned around. Scroll down to watch Andy, Merlin and Mo’s stories and be encouraged by what God’s doing in lives across the nation (and beyond).

Meet Andy

Being self-employed, Andy found that money could be tight at times. It was during one of these tough times that his daughter told him about the Community Grocery and he headed to our store in Telford. The first time we met Andy, he was feeling low and hadn’t spoken to his son in over five years. But as he shopped and got to know the grocery team, things started to change and God broke into not just Andy’s life, but his whole family.

Meet Merlin

Merlin was always passionate about business but after making some bad decisions, she was arrested and released on bail. During this time, she lost the business, her marriage broke down, and she struggled with anxiety and depression. When she hit rock bottom, she thought that taking her life was the only way out, but it was then that God spoke to her and changed everything.

During her time in prison, God used Merlin in amazing ways and it was there that she met Jo from The Message’s prison team. Merlin said, ‘The Message Trust found me when I was in my darkest place. They’ve given me another chance and helped me achieve things I never thought I’d achieve.’

Meet Mo

Facing trial, Mo didn’t know where to turn until he heard about Jesus. As he connected with our Eden teams and prison teams Mo grew in his new faith, and his life was turned around.

These are just some of the stories we could share with you. Do stay in touch by getting our news and prayer updates to hear more.
