The Charge is an initiative that resources and supports local churches to help them raise missional young people by rediscovering the heart of discipleship – the proclamation of the gospel.
In 2 Timothy 4 Paul writes these words, ‘In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word.’
When Paul writes this letter from a prison in Rome, the future of the church is uncertain. What we are witnessing is the handing over of the baton. It’s a change of the guard as the mission of God is handed over from the first generation to the second.
That Charge, to proclaim the gospel, that Paul received from Jesus and gave to Timothy, has since been passed on through the centuries, from the early church fathers to the reformers and revivalists. Keeping this charge at the very centre of what we do, we believe that through mission weeks, regular training events and resources for churches and young people, discipleship of young people across the UK will refocus on evangelism and, from this, we’ll see a generation equipped to step out on mission and more young people than ever coming to faith.

The Scattering
The Scattering is a week of mission for young people who want to put their faith into action! Running in the summer holidays young people are trained and equipped for mission and then head out into communities putting what they’ve learnt into action.

Charge days are designed to equip, empower and envision your young people into mission-focused discipleship. Our team will come and spend a day with you and your young people to train and resource us all in sharing our faith with those around us.
