Fees, visas and admissions

Everything you need to know about applying to the Message School of Evangelism (MSE) including fees, visas and the admissions process.

Fees

Course fee

2026/27 course fee: £3,000

The course fee covers all classes, placements and your accommodation including bills (e.g. gas, electricity, wifi, etc). A £200 non-refundable deposit is required once you are accepted onto the course. The full balance is due in the September you start.

Personal allowance

You’ll also need a personal allowance to cover your food and travel costs, we recommend around £250 a month. Part of your challenge, as for all missionaries, will be fundraising and gathering a prayer community around you. It’s crucial to find personal supporters who can donate monthly to help you cover the costs and pray into your journey throughout the year.

Don’t feel overwhelmed by this financial challenge – please talk to us and we can journey with you through different stages of fundraising and finances.

Visa fee

International students will also need to consider the cost of flights to and from Manchester at the start and end of the course, as well as the cost of a Charity Worker Visa. This visa is around £1,300 and includes access to the NHS healthcare system.

“Message School of Evangelism has been one of the greatest places God has led me. I’ve gained valuable insights into what it means to be an evangelist and learnt how to share the gospel with those around me. The course has also taught me how to live as a Christian and build a strong foundation on the Word of God.”

– Joshua, Class of 2025

Visa advice for international students

Each year we’re joined by lots of international students and we’re always excited to welcome you from anywhere in the world.

To ensure that your Charity Worker visa arrives in time for the start of the term, the deadline for some international admissions is 1 June for the upcoming September. For certain nations the visa approval process can be much quicker. We advise international students to apply for admission to MSE as soon as possible but to contact us directly if the deadline has passed.

You can apply for a Charity Worker Visa up to three months before the course start date in the UK. Our experienced team can give you an overview of the visa application process once we receive your application for admission to MSE.

Admissions process

We know that God can call you at any time, so we try to keep our admissions timeline as flexible as possible. We do recommend applying with as much notice as possible so that you have time to prepare prayerfully, gather prayer supporters and fundraise for yourself.

The course begins in September and we advise all students to apply well before then, if possible. This is to provide time for fundraising, gathering prayer supporters, getting references, completing police background checks (you’ll work closely with children, young people and vulnerable adults) and applying for visas, if needed.

An important part of the admissions process is understanding if this is the right course for you. If our team feel it’s not, at this time, they may signpost you to a different next step.

“My decision to do MSE was incredibly important. Now, back in Germany, I see how much I've grown through the training, placements, teachings, church and people I met. I feel more confident my faith, both personally and in sharing it.”
