It’s been a busy season of mission for Message Germany, so we caught up with team member Yael to hear what’s been happening and what God’s been doing.
‘We recently headed to the Furchtlos (Fearless) Conference that’s organised by Campfire Schneeberg, Saxony. Whilst there, we headed into Schneeberg on mission, sharing the love of Jesus with those we met.
‘Some of our group headed to a lake where there were around 500 people and we felt God direct us to a group of girls, so we started chatting with them. Two of them were Christians, but a third said she hadn’t given her life to Jesus yet. As we carried on talking to the group, it turned out this girl had a Christian friend who had been praying for her and told her about Jesus’ love for her. We shared the gospel with her again and she decided she needed to give her life to Jesus and responded to the gospel.
‘That day I was struck again by how God can use any of us and any opportunity to share about him. Before heading to Schneeberg, I’d handed everything over to Jesus asking him to use me and I had the best conversations about Jesus! I noticed how the Holy Spirit let me speak with a clarity and love that I didn’t even know I had, and I realised I was preaching the gospel to myself too, discovering new depths of God’s love for us. Everyone was so open and it was such a special time of evangelism, building our faith too as we shared Jesus.’
