Advance groups are all about equipping men, women and young people in their evangelism through small group mentoring.
South America
We’re now training people in 107 countries, including Venezuela, where two sisters – just 10 and 8 years old – are loving being part of Advance. Along with their mum and other siblings, the girls never miss any of the street evangelism outreach events led by the Advance group. Each time, they’re stepping out to share their personal stories and faith with those they meet and pray for healing for the sick and are seeing people respond to Jesus!
Africa
In Burkina Faso, a group recently saw 15 people give their lives to Jesus off the back of the members sharing their faith, and as a team in the Democratic Republic of the Congo supported a group of women who had been widowed, they got to share the gospel and 40 responded!
In Zimbabwe, our Advance Ambassadors recently ran an outreach day with their team. After gathering together to start the day in prayer and worship, the Advance group took to the streets to share the love of Jesus with those they met. Throughout the day, the team shared the gospel with 83 people and saw eight first-time responses and three recommitments to Jesus.
One young man they met listened to the gospel and then quietly said, ‘I’ve been running away from God for a long time. Today I’m done running’ and he gave his life to Jesus. Another person who decided to recommit their life shared they’d drifted away due to life pressures, but, after chatting with the Advance team and hearing again how much God loves them said, ‘I feel seen by God’. Everyone the team met has been connected into a local church so please pray that they’d each continue growing in faith.
We recently also heard an incredible story of one Muslim woman in the Central African Republic coming to know God without even meeting one of our Advance Ambassadors! She works for a printing company as part of the team who makes the Advance Guide resource that is distributed to Advance Ambassadors to help train and equip their groups. As she was working on printing the booklets, the woman began reading the material and was so impacted that she decided to give her life to Jesus! She’s now connected with the local Advance group who are discipling her in her faith.
Asia
In India, one Advance leader said, ‘I never imagined I could lead a group or share the gospel openly but through Advance, God has given me confidence, wisdom, and a heart for others.’ How amazing!
