A couple of weeks ago we held out Genetik Winter School and what an epic week it was!
As young people took part in a week of creative workshops they got to enjoy dance workshops, produce music, learn new drumming skills and explore their God-given potential.
Two of those who came along were siblings Jemma and Euan. As the team got to know them, Jemma shared that her and Euan had gone to church when they were younger with their family, but they’d all stopped going until recently when they’d starting going back a bit more.
During one of the God slots at the Winter School, Jemma heard again how much she was loved by Jesus and it hit home. She responded to the gospel there and then and has since been coming along to the weekly Genetik Sessions and getting plugged into discipleship!
Another young person there was Grace. She’s been coming along to the weekly Genetik Sessions for a while and in the past had responded to the gospel but was unsure about whether she actually wanted to follow Jesus with everything and commit her life fully to him. At Winter School, we got to share the gospel with her again, and chat more about what it means to follow Jesus. Grace shared with tutor Lauren that, even though she’d been tempted to live for things not of God, he’d been softening her heart, encouraging her to trust him with it all. She’s decided to go for it and recommit herself to following God!
It’s been a great week, encouraging young people in their giftings and better yet, 11 responded to the gospel!
