We had a great time at our Genetik Summer School last week. As 69 young people from across Manchester threw themselves into a week of creative workshops, they got to hear the gospel and about Jesus’ love for them, and five young people responded to the gospel!
One teenage lad who came along was Kye. As he came, he loved the sessions and got chatting with tutor Lauren. One day out of the blue he said, ‘This might seem really strange but two weeks ago I had a dream about Jesus, and in it he said I needed to get to know him and become a Christian! Since then, I’ve been praying, reading my Bible, and it’s totally changed my life!’
Lauren was amazed and got to share all about The Message being a Christian charity. ‘We all love Jesus here and run the Genetik Sessions creative workshops not only to help young people explore their giftings, but also as a great way to share with them how unique and loved by Jesus they are’, she told him. Hearing this he was blown away.
Through the week the team got to know Kye even more and encourage him in his faith and at the end of the Summer School, Kye said, ‘You’ve inspired me. I want to learn from you and share my faith my with mates too.’
