Planting seeds of faith

Message Wales have been out on Love Where U Live mission again this summer. This time in Cwmbran (South Wales). As they tidied gardens, picked litter, and chatted and prayed with the neighbours, they saw God move in the lives of those they met.

One person the team got to know was Josie. Her garden was overgrown and as the team tidied it each day, they got chatting about why they were there and about Jesus. When the garden was finished, Josie’s three children shared how much they loved being outside and that it was the first time since they moved in that they’d been able to play in it.

As the team worked, they got to pray with Josie and invite her and her kids along to a family fun day they were running – and they all came along! As the kids climbed on board the Message Bus, they loved the gaming PCs, nail station, and more, and got chatting to the team on the bus. Alice was able to share the gospel with them and listen to their questions about faith.

‘I was able to share the gospel with the girls which led to more conversations about God and what it means to be a Christian. They were really interested in finding out more and about coming back to the Message Bus, so I got to link them in with the local church’s youth group and they can’t wait to come along.’

Isn’t it amazing how God can turn everyday conversations into opportunities to share his love?
