Praying for our schools, children, young people, teachers and school staff has never been more important than it is today.
On Wednesday 9 September the National Day of Prayer for Schools is back for 2026, and we want to see every school across the UK prayed for as Christians, churches and organisations unite in prayer.
95% of young people aren’t regularly engaged in their local church, yet 99% of them are in mainstream education. What an opportunity schools give us to reach each of them with the good news of Jesus. As we head into the new academic year we want to see our schools impacted by the gospel.
This won’t happen without prayer, so we’re calling Christians, churches, teachers, organisations and young people to come together and pray for the schools of our towns, cities and villages on Wednesday 9 September.
There’s lots of ways you can get involved whether you want to:
- Gather online or in person to pray
- Pray through the school day with hourly prayer points
- Prayer walk in your community or around the school you work/study in
