As we round up the year, our Eden teams aren’t slowing down. Across the country, our teams are perfectly placed to come alongside their communities, showing the love of Jesus in every opportunity and sharing about the real meaning of Christmas. Here are a few of our highlights from our Eden teams from the past few weeks.
Eden West Bowling (Bradford) ran a nativity trail in their local park and are supporting members of their community who are finding Christmas unaffordable this year by providing food and warm places for people to gather this season. And in Gurnell Grove (London), the team put on an incredible Winter Wonderland event blessing their neighbours with stalls, Christmas treats and donkey rides and so much more!

Over in Alberta, Canada, Eden ran an incredible Christmas event for their local youth centre, handing out Christmas gifts and serving a fantastic meal.

In Hexham our team made up over 80 food packs to give out to the local community throughout December, each containing a bible verse, stew, a mince pie, bread roll and hot chocolate. And Eden Central Drive (Blackpool) took to their streets handing out Bags Of Kindness in partnership with Love Your Neighbour.

The Never Too Old Group run by our Eden Sharston (Manchester) team decided to bless others this Christmas by making up shoeboxes of gifts to send to Samaritans Purse, and on Christmas Day, they’re hosting a huge community meal with over 150 people coming along. It’ll be a great opportunity to build relationships with their neighbours and also share about the love and peace Jesus offers each of us.

And because all that our Eden teams do is centred around the gospel message, Eden Fir Vale (Sheffield) grabbed the opportunity to give Bibles to young people coming along to their Kid’s Club as Christmas presents. It was such a special moment as many of the children don’t own any books and we’re excited to see how God transforms lives as they read about the love of God.
And we’re not finished! Please do pray for all of our teams over Christmas and the New Year as they celebrate the true meaning of Christmas and share a message of hope this festive season with their neighbours and communities.
Merry Christmas everyone!
