Over the summer, Message Wales got the chance to be involved in a Love Where U Live project called ‘Something Good’ in Blaengwynfi and Abergwynfi (Neath Port Talbot).
A group of people from Heartland Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, joined with Message Wales and Rumney Chapel in Blaengwynfi and Abergwynfi for a week of mission in June, putting on loads of activities throughout the week including giving a ‘Bag of Blessing’ for each house, running a community fun day and hosting a daily meeting to discuss the big questions.
Over the week, the team got to know three boys who came to the chapel every day and wanted to hang out and see what was happening. On one of the days, the team were able to share the gospel message with them and answer the questions the boys had for over an hour. After, two of the boys wanted to be baptised and so do be praying that they continue growing in faith.
White Chapel in Blaengwynfi usually has a congregation of around seven or eight people but by the end of the week there were 39 people in the building! Please join us in praying that God continues to transform lives in this community.
