Message Netherlands and band NXT CHAPTR recently headed into a school in Haarlem with Still Standing lessons all about mental health and identity. Throughout the day, the team met 200 young people and, as Jacob and Ty shared their testimonies of what God has done in their lives, the students were really impacted.
After one of the lessons, a girl who’d heard Ty’s testimony came up to him to talk about how she was being bullied. He was able to give advice and share how Jesus helped him. Ty got to invite her to The Send event happening and encourage her to consider faith and pray to God.
Each young person was invited to The Send XL night where NXT CHAPTR performed their gospel-packed tracks and shared the good news. It was amazing to see 300 young people come along and, when Jacob invited those there to go all in for Jesus, five accepted God into their lives for the first time. 28 young people also signed up for some training to learn how to share the gospel with those around them and 49 committed to take a next step in Bible reading and prayer! How incredible.
One of those who responded to the gospel for the first time was Peter*. He had so much joy from accepting Jesus into his life that he couldn’t stop smiling. As the team chatted with him, Peter signed up for the Alpha course and is so excited to start. They also prayed together for healing for a leg injury Peter had and he was healed there and then. He spent the rest of the night dancing!
Please be praying for the young people the team met in school and who responded to the gospel at the gig. Pray they’d each be strong in faith and see God transform their lives.
