‘I feel so full of joy’

A few weeks ago, South Bank Community Grocery (Middlesbrough) member, Patricia*, gave her life to Jesus in store! She came along to church loved singing in worship, and was given a Bible.

This week, she came into the grocery with one of her daughters and Patriciashared how they’ve been praying together as a family every morning and evening. ‘As we do this, we write down verses from the Bible that we’re finding encouraging. It’s amazing. I feel so full of joy!’ Patricia is even going to start volunteering in store so please be praying for her as she does this. Ask God to fill her with boldness as she shares her faith with members that come in to do their shopping.

Listening to God’s voice

The store manager at North Finchley Community Grocery (London) challenged the team to be open to God’s voice and see who he might be nudging them to pray for and share their faith with. Almost immediately, one of the team met Andrea* who’d come into the grocery because she wanted someone to pray with her! And another volunteer, who initially was feeling nervous, challenged herself to ask two ladies if they’d like prayer. They both said yes and they all prayed together right there in the store. We’re so excited to see what God will do as the team continue to step out sharing their faith.

Growing churches

In Netherton (Liverpool), the team have been running an Alpha course with 20 people coming along! Each week, more people are coming and want to come along to church. And over in Lincoln, our partner church, Alive Church, hosted an event for grocery members and the wider community to visit the church and ask any questions. Two Community Grocery members came along to the event, then to a church service and gave their live to Jesus!

Please pray that many members would want to come along to church and Alpha courses this week.
