Giving Bags Of Hope

This Christmas, we’re on a mission to show those in prison the love of Jesus and share the true meaning of Christmas with them.

As the continuing coronavirus pandemic adds uncertainty to prison Christmas carol services, we’re determined that the men and women there get to know how loved and valued they are by Jesus, and have a chance to hear the gospel. So, we’re giving out 4,000 Bags of Hope to prisoners. Packed with snacks, toiletries and gospel-filled resources, the bags are a practical way in which we can show those in prison that they’re not alone – all whilst pointing them to Jesus!

Off the back of this, we’re planning to launch more new Alpha and the4points courses in prisons in 2022 and as people came along to these this year, we’ve seem lives transformed.

Diego, is one prisoner our team met recently. He immediately wanted to find out more about God so over the last couple of weeks, he came along to the4points course our prisons team were running. During the last session, he was desperate to accept Jesus into his life saying, ‘I’ve always struggled with self-esteem but now I know I have value as God’s child!’

Since then, our team have been meeting up regularly with Diego, continuing to get to know him, encouraging him in his new faith and to read the Bible together with another guy in the prison.

As prisoners receive the Bags of Hope join us in praying that they’d experience the love and peace of God in a new way and want to find out more about him this Christmas.
