Our creative mission teams, NXT CHAPTR and OTC, have just got back from a power-packed week in Brentford, London. Running both No More Knives and No More County Lines lessons, the teams encouraged and equipped over 2,300 young people to make positive choices and say ‘no’ to crime.
In one school, Evy from NXT CHAPTR got chatting with one girl who said, ‘The lesson made me realise a lot about my life and how I’m making a lot of wrong decisions. But if I focus and change the way I’m acting, I’ve learnt that I can have a better outcome for my life.’ Evy got to encourage her and invite her along to the end of week LIFT gig to hear more music from the band as well as more about the hope Jesus offers.
110 young people came to the LIFT gig and when the gospel was shared, 53 responded and the team handed out 60 free Bibles too! One of the girls who came to the gig got chatting with NXT CHAPTR saying, ‘It’s been a life-changing experience having you visit my school. The lesson made me understand my worth and value and has helped me feel more confident sharing my faith with my friends.’
And this is just the start of a busy few months of mission. The teams are taking the No More Knives and No More County Lines tours to Cardiff next week and to Accrington and Grantham the week after. Join us in praying that many more young people would be impacted by the gospel and have their lives changed by Jesus.
