God has been doing amazing things through creative mission in South Africa. We caught up with Gilead who’s part of Message South Africa’s mission team, KineticIV, to hear what’s been happening.
‘After ten years of serving with KineticIV, I’ve seen God move in countless ways, but our recent pre‑release concert may go down as one of the most special moments in my journey with this team.
‘As we prepare to drop our brand-new EP on 20 February 2026, we wanted to give young people a first listen and create a night where they could encounter Jesus in a real way. Thanks to the generosity of Claremont Baptist Church (CBC), one of our incredible Message Trust partner churches, we were able to host the event for young people in Cape Town.
‘We spread the word far and wide: inviting every youth group we knew, partnering with CBC, and even sharing about the event on radio. And honestly? We didn’t know what to expect. But when over 100 young people poured through the doors… wow. It was one of those moments that reminds you why we do what we do. But, for me, the highlight of the night was the moment Carlyle shared the gospel.
‘As he did, 20 young people stood up to respond to the gospel! And as they did, we saw their friends encouraging them and walking with them to the stage, so they didn’t have to respond to Jesus on their own! That image of teenagers supporting each other as they choose to follow Jesus will stay with me as I continue to serve young people across our nation.
‘God showed up in that room. No question. And after ten years in KineticIV, nights like this remind me exactly why I’m still here. It’s always been about Jesus and the young people he loves so deeply.’
How amazing!
