As we come into 2025, you may be thinking about setting New Years resolutions. We’ve got you covered on helping to make your resolutions a reality this year! Read below for some inspiration on some common resolutions.
‘I want to read my bible more’
Reading the bible is an important discipline as Christians, as it’s the word of God. By reading your bible more, you’ll get to hear from God more and understand his love for you even better. We have various resources to help you!
Get consistent
Good habits are formed by being consistent. For January, why not follow along with Proximity’s devotional on Marks Gospel?
These 30 bitesized devotionals include a performance of the bible reading, helpful thoughts, prayers and suggestions on how to apply it to your everyday life.
Hear a new perspective
If you’re in the rhythm of reading regularly, but would like to hear a different perspective on a passage or book you’ve heard before, we share all our Message Teaching on our Youtube channel and Message Podcast every week.
We also have a range of books which you can buy through the Message shop.
‘I want to get fit’
The best way to stick to your resolutions is by having an achievable goal. Why not work towards a challenge such as a marathon or plan to walk 100,000 steps in a month? You could even turn it into a fundraiser!
This year, we’d love to see a bunch of our supporters take part in sporting events up and down the country.
How to get involved:
- Sign up to the event on the official website.
- Email us to let us know that you want to turn it into a fundraiser for The Message Trust.
- We’ll get in contact to make sure you have everything you need to make it a successful fundraiser.
‘I want to pray more’
Like reading your bible, this is also an essential part of living a Christian life. But sometimes it can be hard to know where to start with your prayers.
We can’t do what we do at The Message without prayer. This year, why not commit to joining thousands of Christians who are praying for The Message, by signing up to our prayer news.
You can get an email sent to your inbox so you know what to pray for that week. Plus, you’ll also receive a free Prayer Calendar in the post every few months.
‘I want a new job’
Perhaps you’re looking for a change in 2025. We have a bunch of job opportunities at the moment, and whilst you’re on a Christmas break, it might just be the perfect time to apply!
