Last week was an incredible week of youth mission for Message Germany! As the team ran youth prayer and worship nights, music events, and church visits in both Germany and the Czech Republic, they grabbed every opportunity to share the hope of Jesus and pray for the young people.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the team hosted two Youth Night events in Saxony (East Germany). 70 young people came along to for an evening of worship and prayer where they got to hear music from mission team NGHTNDAY. Message Germany hub leader, Sven, said, ‘It was an incredible night where we saw so many young people come to the front for prayer, desperate to see God move in their lives. And God answered, bringing freedom from addictions and mental health struggles!’
On Friday night, Message Germany hosted a youth FIFA tournament, and as they did this, they got to connect with the young people who came along and their families too, starting to build relationships with them all. As they chatted with those who came along, the team had great conversations with people about Jesus and invited many to the youth events they were putting on over the weekend.
And that’s not all. The highlight of the week was helping to run a Youth Conference in the Czech Republic aimed at encouraging young people in their faith and building international relationships centred on unity and the hope of Jesus. 40 young people came along to the weekend full of prayer, teaching, worship and to connect with God and with one another. And the response was amazing. As the gospel was shared, 10 young people responded and accepted Jesus into their lives. One young person said, ‘I’ve never been to anything like this before, it’s so inspiring!’ and another who loved the music said, ‘We don’t have Christian music like this here but I feel encouraged that maybe I can try something similar with my rap music to share my faith with others.’ The team got to share more about the work of The Message with this lad and even invited him to apply to the Message School of Evangelism programme in Manchester so he could grow his gifting in music and learn how to share his faith in every opportunity.
Do be praying for each of the young people as they continue to grow in faith and get plugged into local churches. Also pray for all the upcoming mission opportunities Message Germany have in the next few weeks including with our MSE students and at two festivals.
