As our Message Bus teams continue to share the love of Jesus with young people in fun and creative ways, we caught up with Jack, our Message Bus Manager for Yorkshire and Humberside, to hear what’s been going on.
‘We’ve just been in Doncaster with the bus. One evening, 15 young people from a local youth group came along and had invited loads of their mates to the bus too having heard about the games consoles, nail bars, climbing walls and gaming PCs.
‘After sharing my testimony and about the love of Jesus offers with the young people, seven responded to the gospel! Afterwards, I got chatting with the youth worker and he said, ‘This is exactly what we’ve been praying for! To see the young people make an actual response to the gospel was incredible because we’ve been sharing this message with them since the group was set up.’
‘We’ve also been running another six-week youth project in Wheatley. From the very first week, when we saw over 30 young people come along, the response to the bus has been amazing! One of the girls we met was Tasha who as we chatted asked loads of questions about what it means to follow Jesus. As we talked more we got to answer them, give her a Bible, pray with her and introduce her to the local church youth team to get her plugged into everything that’s happening locally.’
