Right across the world, our teams are sharing the hope and truth of Jesus through mission. We caught up with some of our international hub teams to hear what’s been happening.
Happy birthday, Message Germany!
Message Germany have just celebrated their eighth birthday with a big weekend celebration centred around thanking God for what he has done as he’s transformed the lives of thousands of people!
Message Germany hub leader, Sven, said, ‘We give all the glory to Jesus. All the impact we’ve seen is all because of Jesus using everyday, broken people like us to share his love and gospel with those around us.’
Over the last eight years, the team have spent 200 hours in school sharing Jesus’ love with 36,000 students across 60 schools, they’ve run 250 mission events on the streets connecting with communities through creative mission, they’ve encouraged 185,000 young people with the hope of God at youth prayer events like Revival Nightz, sent 16 people to Manchester, UK, to be part of the Message School of Evangelism programme, and so much more! Join us in thanking God for all he is doing in Germany.
‘I need to tell others’
In the Netherlands, Esmee has been coming along to The Charge training sessions.
She said, ‘The Charge’s evangelism training here in the Netherlands was a truly amazing experience! I had no idea what to expect and wasn’t sure whether to even go because who am I that God would want to use me? But, I went, and wow! I learned so much about how to share the gospel with others then we took to the streets, and I got to step out of my comfort zone. I was so nervous but I did it with the Holy Spirit, and I got to pray with people and see the Holy Spirit at work! I experienced that God really wants to use me in his kingdom. I can’t keep God to myself! It’s just the start of a whole new journey!’
A renewed identity
80 children and youth recently came to the Nyanga Community Hub in South Africa for activities, connection, worship and Bible stories at a holiday club the team run. Throughout the week, the team hosted conversations around purpose, identity, and faith and then the Genetik Sessions team came to host a ‘Created to Create’ session where the young people were encouraged and supported to sing, dance and write poetry to express themselves creatively. This was such a powerful time where young people shared more about their stories, asked for prayer and felt refreshed in their identity in Jesus.
Taking up the call
170 young people came to Message Brazil‘s recent Revival Nightz prayer and worship event in Londrina where almost all of them came forward during the response time to accept the call to be prayerful intercessors for their cities and to share Jesus with those around them. It was such a beautiful night and the team are excited to run more in the new year.
