We’re having a jam-packed term full of schools work in every corner of the country.
We were recently in schools across Ashfield (East Midlands) after two sisters we’d met a year ago at Amplify (a training programme for young evangelists) asked us to come into their school with our truth-filled lessons.
Since being on Amplify and growing in boldness to share their faith, they set up a Christian Union (CU) in their school and one of the girls had a dream where she saw her friends at school giving their lives to Jesus. They knew they needed to do something to help make this happen so reached out to us to come into their school with Respect ME lessons as well as a Still Standing tour all about mental health, resilience and wellbeing, all from a Christian perspective.
In every session, the sisters shared their faith and that week, instead of the usual 10 young people showing up to the CU, 62 students came along to hear more about the gospel!
Throughout the week, we got to meet 2,500 young people and invite each of them to the end-of-week evangelistic gig. Here, 200 came along to hear music from the bands as well as the gospel message shared boldly from the stage. After hearing about the hope of Jesus, 72 responded to the gospel and have been connected in with local churches!
