Getting Stuck Into Mission

As our Academy students continue stepping out in mission, we caught up with Caitlin to see what had been happening when her team headed to Scotland for a week.

‘We’ve been in Larbert getting to meet young people in schools and on the streets. As we chatted to them we’ve been able to tell them about Jesus and invite them along to the events that were happening. It’s been amazing to be part of what God’s doing here.

‘On Wednesday, we had a worship night at Found Church for the young people there. As we worshipped together and explored how worship is so much more than just singing songs, it was great to see how the young people were meeting with God and how they were filled with joy as they praised him. For me, it was my first time ever leading worship, so it was just amazing to be given an opportunity to lead young people to worship God.

‘As we headed into schools, onto the streets and at the worship night, we were inviting the young people we met to a youth group we were helping run on the Friday where they could hear more about Jesus. We’d also challenged six of the young people we’d met to bring their friends along to the youth group with them. In the end, they brought 13 new people,  How amazing!

‘On the Friday night, 19 new young people came along to the youth group for a fun evening of games, testimonies and the gospel message. Lily, another Message Academy, shared the gospel and 12 young people responded! It was so good to see how God used us as we stepped out on mission for him. Do be praying for the young people who responded to the gospel as they find out more about Jesus and get plugged into the church.’

Do you know anyone aged 17-25 who’d love to spend a year getting trained, encouraged and equipped for mission? Why not tell them about our Message Academy and visit
