This summer has been packed with mission for Message Germany as they’ve taken part in youth camps sharing Jesus’ love with every young person they met.
Through creative workshops that helped the teenagers grow in their gifitings, testimony times and much more, the gospel was shared at every opportunity. Here are just three summer camp highlights from the team:
International summer camp
Mission team NGHTNDAY were part of a Youth Summer Camp for non-Christian German and Czech young people.
As part of a music workshop they ran, NGHTNDAY encouraged young people to process their emotions and situations in a healthy way through song writing. The young people wrote their own song which they performed together on the last day of the camp! At this concert, NGHTNDAY also shared their stories about how Jesus has changed their lives.
It was amazing to be able to share the good news of Jesus with the young people, some of whom had never heard it before! Two of the girls the team got to know spent the week asking questions about Jesus and at the end of the camp, decided they wanted to give their lives to him. They have both now started their own discipleship journeys.
Youth camp with the Evangelical Alliance Conference
The team also got to be part of the Alliance Conference and youth camp, performing their music, running dance workshops and hosting a live podcast episode with NGHTNDAY.
One highlight of this time was connecting with a group of young offenders who came along to the youth camp. As the team shared the gospel at the concert, eight of them responded and gave their lives to Jesus – and even got baptised the next day! One of these guys said, ‘When I was underwater, I felt how Jesus took my sin and darkness away, and I feel totally free and safe now.’ How amazing!
Hope camp
Similar to the Genetik Summer Schools we run here in the UK, Message Germany run Hope Camps full of creative workshops as well as daily devotionals, Bible time and sharing testimonies of God’s goodness. This year, over 50 young people, many from difficult home lives, came along to be part of the week. After getting to know the young people over the week and sharing the gospel with them, 15 gave their lives to Jesus!
Do keep praying for the work of Message Germany as they continue growing their schools work and prisons ministry.
